Started in 1980 by a collective of young architects and designers headed by Ettore Sottsass, Memphis has become one of the most iconic design movements in history. Vibrant colors, sculptural shapes, and an approach to design that was intended to upend status quo modernism has seen this movement, collective and brand impact nearly every element of visual culture.
